City Dock

About

The City of Crisfield has secured $2,003,532 in Community Project Funding through the efforts of Andy Harris, Chris Van Hollen, and Ben Cardin to support major improvements to the Crisfield City Dock, including design, permitting, and construction management of the central dock and piers, with engineering firm. Additional resilience funding includes a $250,000 application to the Maryland Department of Emergency Management Resilient Maryland Revolving Loan Fund for elevation improvements, and $500,000 in grants from the Maryland Department of Natural Resources Waterways Improvement Fund for replacement and elevation of the southeast and northwest piers, with remaining funds supporting the central pier. The elevated dock is currently under design by the engineering firm George, Miles, and Buhr. A separate $100,000 bond bill sponsored by Mary Beth Carozza is funding long-term design and visioning efforts, led by Design Collective and the City’s Waterfront Development Committee, to position the dock as a resilient community and event destination.
